Janyce got her start with CrossFit in 2008 to supplement training for her competitive figure skating career. A career-ending injury brought her from the suburbs of Nashville, TN to Santa Barbara to attend UCSB and graduated with a BA in Psychology. Even though her skating days were over, the sport of CrossFit was just beginning to grow and the opportunity to still be a competitive athlete presented itself. The support from fellow athletes and continuous challenges provided by CrossFit is what Janyce enjoys most.

Coaching CrossFit since Spring 2014, she strives to apply her previous training and experiences (as both an athlete and coach) to help others achieve their health and fitness goals.
